  • Green card for dad - married status?

I recently became an American citizen and filing for form I-130 for my dad. My mom passed away. Under current marital status, I mentioned that my dad is widowed. There are 2 questions for which I am unsure of the reply: there is a question asking the date for when the marriage ended. Should I enter the date of my mom's passing as the marriage end date? There is also a question asking for the marriage date if currently married - not sure if I should provide the date for that since he is technically no longer married.

The form also has sections to fill the spouse's name. Should I add information about my mom or leave it blank?

Any pointers would be appreciated! Thanks so much!

USCIS will first go by status “widowed”
date marriage ended = date your mother died
he is not currently married, so the date should be blank
