I am a US citizen residing in USA from last 20 years. Became US citizen in 2016, planning to sponsor Green card for my own brother and his 13 year old son. Once they receive the green card, if any case my brother wants to go back to India by canceling his Green card, will his son Green card will be valid? Also what are the current processing timings for Family based Green cards.

05/11 Interview done approval on the spot but no USCIS update online
