My dad sponsored his brother for immigration. They had their interview before covid. They took his passport. It was under administrative processing and visas were stopped due to trump
and covid but now his status says “You have been notified that your registration for an immigrant visa was cancelled, and any petition approved on your behalf was also cancelled.” The previous correspondence we had with them was last March 2020 where we submitted answers they had about siblings etc.
we are so confused what’s going on. The embassy kept saying we will tell you if we need any additional documents. They never said anything so we assumed it’s due to covid. Now they have canceled our application. I sent an inquiry to the embassy.
Another thing I logged into the ceac account and his application has been re-open. Maybe they want us to submit the DS_260 again although they haven't said anything. Pleaseee someone if you are dealing with this tell me any info. We are now thinking to hire lawyer
