  • Helping my family immigrate to US

Hi, Im a US citizen in California, and Im planning filing I130's for my parents and my brother, who are all in India.

I understand the process in petitioning for my parents, and have all the forms. Now what should I do with my brother, who turns 21 this December.

I understand their are two options to follow, keeping in mind he is 21, and providing he doesn't get married.

Option 1: File his i130 now and get process going, which would take 7-10yrs

Option 2: Have my parents apply for their son (at some point next yr), as Green Card Holders have them file an i130.

Which route should I follow and why?

    Any help-guidance.......... thanks.

      Thx Daru786.

Could you please explain a little more...

You're saying I should file now, and then have my parents file another i130 again when they get their green card.

      How does that work.

      Thx.

That's exactly what I said. You can file multiple I-130.
