  • two questions on G1450

    Concurrent filing I130 and I485.

    1. Is there a way to explicit state the purpose of the payment on the G1450 form, for example one is for I130 application and the other is for I485, or the only way to figure it out is based on the authorized payment amount?
    2. Is my understanding correct that for concurrent filing, the name on the G1450 form for I130 application has to be the US spouse, and the name on the G1450 form for I485 has to be the green card applicant?

    Thanks

    Hi,
I am bit confuse with your question. But as per my understanding, I am responding to your question.
    1. If you are filing two petitions then you will need to provide two different G-1450 form for each petition. You can not provide one G-1450 form for two or more petitions.
    2. If you are going to use third person credit card then third person need to file G-1450 form and give it to you for filing petition. Place the form on top of your application, petition, or request when you file it. I think you dont want to specifically mention on G-1450 form. When you keep the form on top of the petition/ application, it will be taken care.
Please post the question, if you still not clarified.
    Thanks

Hi, my case is not as complicated as having two petitions and a third person credit card.

I'm concurrent filing I130 and I485, and both need a payment, for which I plan to use G-1450 to pay. So there's only 1 petition for me, but I plan to use two credit cards to pay - my spouse's cc for I130 and mine for I485.

My intention is to fill out 2 G-1450 forms, one for the I130 payment of $535, and the other for the I485 payment of $1225.
For the I130 payment, I plan to fill out the G1450 form with my US spouse's name and credit card info; and for the I485 payment, I plan to fill out with my name and my credit card info.

Just wanted to confirm if this is normally what everyone does, thanks!

        Hi,
For the I130 payment, I plan to fill out the G1450 form with my US spouse's name and credit card info; and for the I485 payment, I plan to fill out with my name and my credit card info.
        Answer: Yes. This is possible.
Please see USCIS requirements on third party payments.
"Anyone authorized to use a credit card may pay for your application, petition, or request. The cardholder must complete Form G-1450, sign it, and give it to you to submit with your filing"
        Thanks
