You should research/google this. From what I was able to learn your F2B petition was automatically revoked when you got married. You do not automatically transfer. Your petitioner would have had to inform USCIS and then they would have had done the transfer. I read on another forum that your marriage date would then be your priority date under F3 but I stand corrected on this. You should definitely have your petitioner contact NVC, as you do not want to appear dishonest. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Thanks for ur concerns, let me clear you my mother who is the petitioner is green card holder not a citizen, and there is no category where green card holder apply for their married children this is only for citizens and second my PD is Aug 2006 and I got married in 2007.
I heard from some people that in my case there are two possibilities either they will simply give me the visa and second is they will ask me to complete the forms of my family also, or may be they refuse(
        what u people think.

Thanks for the additional info. In my opinion and I feel I am correct with this - they will not give you visa. When your mom becomes a U.S citizen she can then file for you under the F3 category. She can inform NVC/USCIS at this time that you are married and ask them to cancel the application. It doesnt make any sense to spend any additional $ and then be rejected.

Perhaps you can reapply for the visitors visa if you would like to visit your mom in the U.S. In the application you can state that no one is petitioning for you as your application would have been cancelled.

Sorry I couldn't give you anything positive.

              @ Usman7

You may be lucky like your friends, so if you would like to, you can give it a try. Be careful as these friends may have gone into the F3 category and not ubderstood that. I have never heard of a married child of a green card holder getting through with their petition but of course stranger things have happened.

My siblings that were all unmarried got through years ago when my mom was a LPR or green card holder and the married ones, including myself had to wait until she became a citizen. The sad thing is the unmarried ones didnt want to live there, and those of us that are married with children and are interested, have the very long wait, but that's life. Those in the F2B category are normally told not to marry until they receive green card as it changes everything.

Don't just take my word for it, feel free to research/google on line. There are sites with these laws, and many forums with discussions. They do provide for some interesting reading. Let us know how it goes. You may be lucky and we on these forums learn from the experiences of others. All the best and remember if it doesn't work out at this time you can always re apply for the visitors visa. I truly hope all goes well.

You said "hell of a time", lol again. You want to come here so then you have to wait for your turn, like wait in the line. You can't have it all. The only possibility for you is that your mom files for you under F-3 category and you wait for your visa number. If you don't want to wait, then forget about it..............
