  • Gc processing for my mom - which service center to use ?

I live in IA, and I am planning to apply GC for my MOm who has come here 3 months back and is staying with my sister who is in CA. I am a citizen and eligible to apply.

If I apply the I-130 petition from here, I am assuming that if I apply for the petition from here, it will go under Nebraska and the processing time for that is very late.
Can I apply it from California, since my sister stays there, so that it falls under California service center, and the processing is a little faster ??

Or it doesnt make any difference ??

    Thank you for your help.

    Regards,
    Sravanthi

Well if your sister is an US citizen than ask her to apply. If not then follow the USCIS instructions and apply where they ask you to do so and not from where you want.
    thanks
