  • Incorrect payments and outdated forms

Did anyone else choose to file their I-130 online and I-485 mailed in? My partner and I filed I-130 and I-130A in June of this year and sent in a copy of the application as a supplement for the I-485. However, we've gotten rejected twice now for both I-130 and I-485 based on "incorrect fees" (both times we submitted $1,225 - the first all in one check, and the second time with the I-485 filing fee and biometrics fee broken out; the I-130 was paid for online and we've attached and highlighted the receipt notice).

Additionally, they noted in the most recent notice that the I-130 form wasn't current. Given the I-130 was filed online, we had no choice over which version of the from to use and filled out the application as was provided. We now see on the top right corner of the form that it expired on Feb 28, 2021, despite us getting and filing the form online in June. Is the best fix here to withdraw our original I-130 and file completely new forms (the I-485 form we used expired at the end of September too)?

Separately, if anyone knows any way to speak to a representative on the contact center line, we'd be beyond grateful for the tip. We spent ~2 hours on the phone trying to get to a live representative to figure out exactly what was wrong with the application last time to no avail. Although we are early on in our process, it has already been extremely frustrating. Any help would be much appreciated!!

    Timeline for reference:
    - I-130 / I-131 received via online portal with payment - June 13, 2021
    - I-485 received - September 8, 2021
    - second I-485 received - September 23, 2021
