I am a RU & US citizen applying for a green card for my mother who resides in Russia. We got our I-130 petition approved. When I submitted the petition I had to include copies of my birth certificate. My certificate is notarized and translated into English. Does my mother need my birth certificate? I am afraid to mail it to her. Do I need to send her a certified copy? If yes, who can certify it? Notaries won't do it, "vital statistics agency" is asking me which state I was born on their website - that doesn't apply to me because I wasn't born in the US. Can somebody clarify if she will need my certificate for the interview?
