Senior - Applying for Citizenship

Hello,

I am posting this on behalf of a friend. He is a senior citizen on a green card eligible for applying the Citizenship. He hasn't filed any tax returns here since he lives with his daughter and have never worked.

My questions i

1. Are the tax returns Checked/needed to file for the Citizenship?
2. And what age is considered a senior citizen category for the citizenship process?

1. No. If the income is low or no income, people don't need to file a tax return.
2. I don't think there is a senior citizen category. What do you mean by that? To not be tested in English?
