We are applying for my Dad's green-card once he's here - concurrent application I-130/I-485. In ensuring we have the proper documentation we were going through his documents & realized his birth certificate does not have his last name, just his first name. Even where his father & mother's name is mentioned on the certificate (that is, my grandfather and grandmother) there is no mention of our last name. Is this a show-stopper or is this common for such old birth certs that are hand-written from India & not an issue with USCIS? Because his name & his father's name matches with other documents where such names are mentioned such as his Indian passport, Aadhar card etc. How do we correct for this if this is indeed an issue?
