  • Approved I-140 and going to marry an American

Hello everyone, this is my first post here and I have a compelling question I believe you experts will be able to help me

I have an approved I-140 and am presently waiting for my priority date which is Dec 2008 (this is when I filed for my labor)

I am getting married to my fiancee who is an American citizen.

    What are my options?

I-130 or can I file for I-485 adjustment directly? Is it a long procedure?

Also please recommend any good immigration lawyer or legal company. I tried to set an appointment with moorthy attorneys, but they charged me 250 bucks for initial consultation, too expensive

Thanks, guys. Looking forward to your input.

File I-130 & I-485 concurrently, no attorney is needed.............
Time line is anywhere from 4 to 6 months.

Daru, thanks so much for the info. I think I will file it without an attorney, but I tend to make some silly mistakes and don't pay much attention to details.

Just in case, if I want to have an attorney looking over my shoulder, do you or any of you recommend any immigration lawyer company that is not too expensive like the company I mentioned before?

      Thanks a ton
