Mom's GC Questions - Apply while in India

Hi,

I am a US citizen and would like to apply GC for my mother who is in India currently. I have the following questions -

1. Can I file for I-130 and I-485 at the same time when my mother is in India?
2. If I file I-130 while she is in India, can I file for I-485 as soon as she arrives in the US or is there a "wait" time?
3. If I file for her GC while she is in India, can she stay in the US until she gets her green card or will she have to go back to India for consular processing?
4. If she needs to travel between India and the US while the green card application is being processed, will I need to apply for Advance Parole and at what stage?
5. Is there a Biometric application form? Should I file Biographic form G-325A?
6. Where will she have to complete the medical test?
7. My brother had submitted Affidavit of Support 8 years ago when he applied for her visitor visa. Can I submit another one now while the previous is still active? Will the initial Affidavit still hold good and how do we prove that?
8. Since I have to mention my wife on the Affidavit of Support, she has to complete I-864A and since we file our taxes combined, can she specify the same Total Income as what I specify in my I-864?

You are getting a lot of things mixed up. First decide if you will apply for her while she is here or in India. If you apply for her while she is in India, she may be denied to visit you using a visitor visa since she will an I-130 processing for her. If she is here then you file an I-130, I-485, I-693 , G-325a and I-765 and I-131.. Once approved, she will have to get her biometrics done, which USCIS will request. If your income is 125% over the current poverty line in your state, you don't need anyone else to file another I-485.

Go to the Visa Bulletin, you will have an idea about the processing time.
