Petition only for one of the parents

I would like to petition only for my mom. My parents are still married but my dad cannot travel every 6 months due to his job. Do I have to petition and apply for permanent residency for both or can I only apply for my mom?

Sure, you can petition one and not the other. Even if you petitioned both, they are completely separate petitions anyway
