  • Parents helping out with joint sponsor (I-864) question

Hello! My parents are helping my husband (beneficiary) and I by being our joint sponsors, however they filed their taxes jointly as a married couple. From what I've figured out I think, is that my father has to fill out an I-864, while my mother an I-864A? Do I also have to figure out their individual annual income? Any help is very much appreciated. thank you ;-(

If the joint sponsor's own current income is sufficient without counting their spouse's income, then their spouse does not need to fill out I-864A. Their current income is the current salary of their current job.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
