My case I-130 has been approved and ask to wait 3 months before i contact NVC if i my beneficiary did not hear from them. On the day it clocked 3 months, ii call USCIS and they told me their records show that they no longer have my case with them-meaning that NVC must have recieved it. But lo and behold each time i called NVC, they kept telling me they have no record of my case number. could it be that either one of them is lying? i need and advise on this please.

Secondly, can someone please explain how to figure out the piority date. The two tables-family based table and the employment based table confuse me all the time. Reason why, the family based table does not show 'c' for current but only the employment table does. so do they use the employment based table to interprete the family based table? My piority date is 10/01/2008, F2A Preference category. Your quick answer to this will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Isaac

Are you in US or abroad. What type of petition was filed for you. If you are F2A category, they are processing cases with PD of June 2010. Are you sure your PD is 10/2008?
Don't confuse yourself by looking at he employment based category, it has nothing to do with your petition.

Call the USCIS phone number and ask to speak to the secondary customer service department. The inform them what the problem is. If they don't help you, call your local congressman, senator and they will help you.

          NVC Confirmation

Thanks to everybody for their responses! I called NVC this morning and luckily they confirmed my cased has been received by them and that they will get back to me within the next 6-8 weeks. Only God knows when they will. My PD IS 10/1/2008, F2A,IV. Everyday I keep wondering ''is hope dashed part of american dream'' But to all of us, we shall overcome someday and put this behind us. Good luck.
