Applying GC for father, no proper docs - Please HELP!!

Hello,
I am a US citizen and I want to apply for GC for my dad. My mother passed away few years back. My questions are regarding the fulfillment of birth and marriage certificates. Here is our scenario.

1. My father does not have birth certificate. He only has sworn in affidavit and a non-availability certificate from the municipal. Are these two docs sufficient?

2. My parents marriage was never registered. So, my father does not have marriage certificate as well. We only have my mom's death certificate. What other documents should we provide to fulfill marriage certificate requirement?

Hello Usha - Sorry to hear about your mom! Non-availability certificate is good and I would suggest to get couple of more affidavits. You really don't nee a marriage certificate, as long as your birth certificate shows your dad's name as proof of relationship.
