Hello,
I’m a naturalized US citizen from India (got employment-based green card in 2012 and US citizenship in 2017). I have surrendered my Indian passport and have an OCI card for India. I intend to marry an Indian citizen (currently living in India) and apply marriage-based GC for her. I have a question and would greatly appreciate any input.
This would be my second marriage. My first marriage was from 2011 to 2013. I applied for employment-based GC and added my spouse on that GC application. Both of us received our GCs in 2012. Subsequently, we got divorced in 2013.
Since there is a history of adding my first wife on my GC application and the marriage ending in divorce, would it affect the chances of my future wife (in India) getting her marriage-based GC?
I’d really appreciate any input.
Thanks,
EP
