I filed I-130 for my parents (Dad 80+, Mom 70+) in Nov 2021. The status was updated yesterday on USCIS website. Mom - approved. Dad - RFE (submit Indian marriage documents). I had submitted affidavits both for their birth certificate and marriage certificate from people who are older than them. The marriage affidavit was from relatives who were present at their wedding in 1969.
The RFE seems to allow for secondary evidence "Church/religious marriage records; Census or tribal records; Government records; Any other evidence you feel establishes the marriage." I was wondering if his pension documentation which has her name (for continuity as a survivor) would suffice. They require "Dates and locations of the event(s);" in that secondary document which would not be there in the pension document.
Any thoughts on other documents which may suffice? Thx!
