Hello,
I am applying for greencard for my parents (aged 81). Though they are both Indian citizens, my father was born in the hen Burma during British occupancy. He has a worn-out birth certificate from the Burmese government. When applying for greencard, what can I provide as a birth certificate since Myanmar consulate wont issue a replacement. Will an affidavit be enough (letter from someone who was present during his birth?)
Also, I have a question regarding whether we need to wait a certain number of days after their arrival in the US to apply for I130/I485, etc.
Thanks.
