I have H1 with no pay stubs since one year with valid I-94 and can I travel from US to Canada by car after applying Advance Parole and ask my friend to mail me once I get Advance Parole while my Adjustment of Status is in processing.

I think if you leave the country while you have a pending I-485, your petition will be deemed abandoned.
