Hello,
I am applying to sponsor my mother to get a green card. I filled out form i-130 online but didn’t have an option to submit i-485, is this a form that needs to be mailed separately physically, not online? do i first need to get the i-130 approved or should i mail -485 right away? could someone please help me understand the process?

I-485 can only be filed by paper currently. So you either file both I-130 and I-485 together by paper, or you file I-130 online, and then file I-485 by paper with a copy of the I-130 receipt. You need to attach the I-130 receipt to I-485 if your I-485 is filed separately from the I-130, so you need to wait until you get the I-130 receipt.
