Hi, my question is about the DS-260 form, My son in law assigned an legal office to fill the form+ download the documents, but this office has been delaying the filing (the time expired , He has to pay the fee again), due to this unprofessional conduct, I am asking if we could file the form, send the documents? or there is a trick that only the legal offices know?, our concern is the possibility to be rejected, any suggestion please, will be appreciated, thanks

You can fill the DS-260 yourself online. The NVC should have provided you with an application number and an invoice number.
It's pretty straight forward.12/21 - submitted I-130
11/22 - I-130 petition approved, case created by NVC
12/22 - DS-260 submitted, and request for NZ Police vetting made
12/22 - NZ Police confirm vetting request has been processed ~ 2 weeks
??/?? - DS-260 civil documents accepted (e.g. police vetting, marriage certificate etc.)
05/23 - I-864 submitted (delay caused by not being able to get lawyer advice on filing I-864
05/23 - I-864 documentarily qualified ~ 2 weeks
08/23 - Interview scheduled

In my welcome e-mail from NVC (has your application and invoice number), I also see
IMPORTANT: if you do not log into ceac or communicate with nvc regarding this immigrant visa case for a period of one year, by law the department of state must terminate your visa application.
So I hope you don't have to file I-130 or whichever all over again...12/21 - submitted I-130
