  • Waiting 2 years for interview after notice from NVC documentarily qualified

Notice regarding your Immigrant Visa Case becoming Documentarily Qualified
The National Visa Center (NVC) received all of the fees, forms, and documents that are required prior to attending an immigrant visa interview at a U.S. Embassy/Consulate General overseas.

NVC will work with the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in WARSAW, POL to schedule an interview appointment for you. Once we have confirmed an interview date, we will send a notice to you, your petitioner and attorney (if applicable).

Please do NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until you have received an immigrant visa from the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General.

The U.S. Embassy/Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of the interview. Please visit https://nvc.state.gov/prep for information about immigrant visa interviews.

    I got that January 6, 2021.

So it was 2 years ago. Anyone knows how long it will take? I'm losing my mind. Anyone got interview with similar dates being qualified? Is something wrong?

I was declared DQ on October 2022. It has been 8 months and no news yet from the Embassy in Bogota, Colombia. Any news from you dominludwin7?

Based on what I heard from other people, every 2 or 3 months they are supposed to send you a letter notifying you that they are still processing so continue to wait for your interview date. Usually by the 6th or 8th letter then you will have a scheduled date. Please keep in mind that Covid has caused delays in processing so things are taking longer than usual.
