  • Which way to go?

    Hi,
i married my husband 2 yrs ago here in US. He is currently on H-1b visa which is going to expire next june 2011 and he can not extend it as it will be his 6th yr on H-1b. I am a permanent resident here. i am going to be citizen on 22nd Dec. 2010. Now looking at the visa bulletein, how fast it is going , people advise me to apply for him as a permanent resident and not to waste further time. So, that his application will be in line and after wards apply for his adjustment of status. And some people say that apply after 22nd dec. as a Citizen, i am confused as i don't want to waste time b/c i am not sure that if i apply after getting my citizen ship how long will it take for him to get his greencard?

Well if you pay close attention to the visa bulletin, its taking from start to finish, anywhere from 4 to 6 months for a LPR to apply for his/her spouse. Go ahead and file an I-130 and I-485.
    Good Luck!
