  • I want to know where is my green card right now

    Hello,
    PLEASE i will like to find out where is my green card because I changed my adress at the immigration services of the JFK new york airport and since 32 days i didn't receive my welcome notice or my green card. I put a friend's address who promise me to give it to me when it will be available at her mail's box. They told that if she doesn't put my names on her mail box, my green card will not be deposit there. I will like to find who I can contact to know where is my green card now because I really need it to apply for a SSN .I already call the USCIS at 1 800 375 5283 but they didn't really help me. Thanks for helping me please

        Did you note the visa number or copy any of the documents that you got from the consulate? Did they note anything in your passport? Your A# is generally your Immigrant Visa number. If you can come up with that, they can find your file.

              OP means the original poster which is you. Secondly to check you online case status, you should have an application number starting with the alphabets and a few numbers.

                  @noelya

                  So sorry to hear of your situation. I was reviewing on other forums and searched on line.
                  If you do not receive, you will have to fill out form I90 for replacing and choose "b", which states that the card was not received. Some persons spoke of waiting for more than three months (90 ) days before they got green card after they arrived. These things do happen.

                  I hope this helps and do let us know how it goes. Keep your chin up !

                    I call the USCIS and I got the receipt number but I really need to have the tracking number know either my green card has been posted in the previous mail address or have been returned to the post office because of the fact that my names were not written on the mail box thanks

                      There is no tracking number. If the card was returned, USCIS will have it in their system. They should be able to tell.
