Fingerprinting is scheduled after consulate visa interview.

Hi,

My parents have their greencard visa interview scheduled this coming Monday morning and their biometric appointment on the same day in the afternoon. We just found out that fingerprinting needs to be done before visa interview. When we were scheduling appointment our lowyer said it's ok to have fingerprinting after visa interview. And now even on the website it says that visa interview gets cancelled if biometric appointment is not done. Could you please advice what are our options ?? We already sent an email to consulate about the situation and now waiting for the reply. Any advice appreciated. Thank you for your help in advance.

We called helpline desk and explained the situation. They said to go for biometric appointment first and then attend the interview immediately after fingerprinting. In that case my parents will be late about an hour and a half for their consulate in person visa Interview. Our concern is would they allow them for interview if they are late ? Or they would consider this as no show ? Please help. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you for your help in advance.
