  • emailing scanned DS-3032 to NVC

    Hello All,
I'm in GC process for my mom & dad who are in India. So, its a consular processing (I'm a US citizen).
I saw couple of threads on this forum about emailing DS-3032 (choice of agent) signed, scanned (in pdf format file) document to NVC (emailid:- [email protected]). I saw that they received reply from NVC that its accepted for processing.
I tried to do the same, I emailed NVC ([email protected]) the signed & scanned document (DS-3032 choice of agent). In the subject line of the email:- I mentioned the code "OPTIN" then NVCcasenumber. In the body of the email, I mentioned the petitioner name, email id, dob & beneficiary name, email id, dob.

But I got a reply from them next day saying this.....

    Dear Sir/Madam:
Applicants who apply for a visa at the U.S. Embassy in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan are required to use Electronic Processing.
Applicants who apply for a visa at the U.S. Consulate General in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico in the following visa categories are required to use Electronic Processing:

CR1 Conditional Spouse of United States Citizen
CR2 Conditional Child of United States Citizen
IR1 Spouse of United States Citizen
IR2 Child of United States Citizen

The option to participate is available to visa applicants who are applying for a visa at the U.S. Consulates General in Guangzhou, China and Montreal, Canada.

    Regards,
    NVC Document Review Team

Can somebody please tell me why mine was rejected?

Yes, I did click on that link & see the details. But I saw few threads on this forum where in people have mentioned that their email with scanned DS-3032 document was accepted by the NVC. I believe they are all Indians & their consulate office in in India. So, Im just wondering, how did they get successful reply from NVC?

I don't think you're sending the email to the correct address. I think the email add you're sending to ([email protected]) is wrong, and I think the right one is [email protected]. Try that out.

          Optin

1.Do you have to mention the code OPTIN? Is it mandatory to mention this code or optional
2.DO you put this in the subject or in the body of the email?
          3. Also, I sent in DS3032 without mentioning the code to [email protected] with only the case number and beneficiary name. We got an auto response instantly that they have received the email..Its been 5 days now, but haven't received any thing yet. How long does it take them to send an update on this request?
          Thanks
