  • Best way to proceed.

    Hi,
I've got a question. I'm from Venezuela and have never been in US. My mom got married there (US) with an american guy. She told me she could filed a petition for me, but she didnt know exactly the procedure...
Now, i've read about the i-130 form, but seems to take a little bit, i'm not in a hurry but also dont want to be waiting years to get it done.
Somebody told me to get a tourist visa or and (student visa) and once been there applied for an AOS.
So, which is the best way to proceed?
    Thanks in advance!

Hmm, it all depends on your Mom's status here in US (GC holder or citizen) & how old are you now?, if you are more than 18yrs, then it might be bit lengthy process & might not be able to get it done when u r in US on visitor visa or student.

      Hi,
My mom's status there is GC holder. I'm over 21.
I don't know which process do i have to take. Get a non inmigrant visa and then get and AOS, or take the i-130 which i've heard takes a bit... or if there is another way?
      thnks
