The old 90 day rule which is no longer a rule is creating a lot of confusion for me. I was hoping someone with a similar situation or understand could help shed some light on it.
I have been in the US for nearly 6 years on multiple nonimmigrant visas. I recently returned after renewing a new visa (same category) and in the short time after arriving before heading away for a few months for work job, my other half and I who have been together over 5 years decided to get married. The time worked as we had friends and families in town and I had some time off.
The intension when entering the country was and always has been to work for the job of which I had the visa issued for. If we did eventually apply for an AOS would this wedding date being closely aligned to my latest entry on my i94 cause issues, even know we have a bonafide relationship with plenty of evidence over years? Essentially does simply marrying create duel intent within 90 days?
