Filing I-130 and I-485

Hi,

I need help in I-130 and I-485. My husband has applied I-130 through his sister who is a citizen. I-130 has been approved. Now we are in US working in L1A.

Can we apply for I-1485 for adjustment of Status with I-130 receipt or should we wait for the Visa number?

Please let us know as it would be useful to decide.

I think nope, until NVC gives you the visa number. Usually in case of Brother, sister's GC, it takes around 8-9years for the complete process. If your case was applied 8years ago, then NVC would send you a letter with visa number.
