Hello all, my parents are applying for Immigration through Consular processing in India. They applied for a Police Clearance Certificate from the local Passport Service Kendra. The PCC letter states that they clear them for "IMMIGRATION PURPOSES OTHER THAN CITIZENSHIP" to the United States of America.
Is this the right "Purpose" to use for the PCC? There is another option called a "Residence Permit", and it feels to me like both of these apply equally well to Green Cards to the USA.
What is the right one to use? If any of you have had experience with this, I would really appreciate the help in clarifying this for us.
