Hello all, I am sure this has been asked a few times.
I would like some guidance on the process of bringing my future wife to the USA and which visa / process to follow. I am British and have a green card for the last 4yrs, living in the USA originally on a L1 before moving to Green Card (10yrs in USA so far) currently Permanent Resident (PR)
Once we get married in May 2024, do I just bring her here on a tourist visa and at the end of the stay we decided to change our minds and she stay and apply for adjustment of status, or once married do we just apply for the appropriate visa ( i think I-130) for her to come, this seems to take 15 months. In this process can she apply for a work permit if desired or needs to wait for adjustment of status, also what happens if she leaves the USA for medical issue for medical issue ie Father not well as an example.
Also do I upgrade to US Citizen to make the process faster, as a PR the visa seems to take 25+months.
