Hello,
My wife had filed I-130 for her mom about a year ago. Its been approved, we are in process of filing the AOS and other fees. My question is the applicant has two under 18 daughters (they were mentioned in papers during filing) Would they be able to accompany their mom when she acquires the immigrant visa from Islamabad or the applicant has to filed a separate petition once she has immigrated to the United States? or simply what exactly is the procedure for the minors when you are immigrating?

Your wife's mother's petition is based on immediate relative category and that can not have dependents. Therefore, those two daughters can not accompany.

It will take around 10 years for them to immigrate.

Would it really take ten years for them to immigrate under F2A/B category? Wow Is that the timing period in general or just Pakistan?

No Kaash bhai, its standard all over except four countries that does not include Pakistan. I would suggest to speak to a couple of attorneys who offer free initial consultation.

It took my younger brother seven (7) years as an F2B, which is a bit less than 10. Not far from but a bit less. They seem to be moving a bit faster now ( his was 1996). Keep the faith, the time goes by.
