Change in Reporting time

Hello Friends,

My mom got immigrant VISA stamped(for green card) and she has to report in USA before 14th March 2011.
Is there any procedure or clause to extend this date as she has some family obligations there and she can come only after May 2011. Your immidiate response in the matter will be highly appreciated.

Unless the matter is of very high importance (like big time family emergency), I would suggest that your mother enter the USA and then she can fly back immediately to complete her obligations. Attending family functions or religious rituals does not count in family emergency.
