I had applied for parents GC process through consular processing. Started the process in Jan 2023 and got the case transferred to NVC in Feb 2024. I have already completed DS-260 and am on the final stages of submitting the Civil documents and get an appointment at the Mumbai Consulate.
Few questions
1. What is typically the timeframe from when you submit the final NVC documentation till you land an appointment and Visa?
2. What would be the drawbacks if I move their case for AOS since they have a travel plan to USA soon ( in1 month)
3. How long does the AOS process take and can they travel back to India if they have to during the process?
Not sure what the best path would be here, have them stay over in India till they get their Visa or let them continue on their USA trip and continue the process as AOS here? Thanks in advance for any suggestions/ guidance
