Hello. In 2014, I filed Form I-130 for my sister under the F4 immigrant visa category. At that time, I used the birth certificates of her eldest daughter and eldest son to provide their birth dates and the name of her son. However, recently, when we were asked to submit supporting documents for the immigration visa, it was found that the birth dates on the birth certificates and Form I-130 do not match with the passport information.
For the eldest daughter:
• Birth certificate: August 3, 2003 (incorrect)
• Passport: August 3, 2000 (correct)
For the eldest son:
• Birth certificate: August 24, 2004 (incorrect)
• Passport: August 24, 2002 (correct)
Also, the name on the birth certificate was recorded as Md Anas Mollah, but the correct name on the passport is Md Anas Molla.
We have already corrected the old birth registrations and updated them with the correct information.
Since the incorrect information from the birth certificates was used when filing Form I-130, the authorities have the wrong birth dates and name.
What should I do now? Will the visa center accept a request to change the birth dates and name after almost 10 years of submitting the Form I-130?
