Hello,
I am currently on H1B. I got married to a US Citizen (by birth) in July 2008. We filed for my change in status in September 2010. I completed my Biometrics in December 2010. I recieved my letter for interview appointment (which is set for next week). Our lawyer is out of the country and cannot attend the interview with us.
I am wondering what documents I need to collect prior to my appointment? so far I have:
1. all the originals of the documents that I sent in with my applications.
2. Pictures or our trips we took together (this includes flight details, hotels reservations).
3. Original house title and car papers.
4. Two letter of affidavits from family and two letters of affidavits from our neighbors.
5. Since we work together, I also plan to take a letter from our manager.
6. Letter from our bank stating when we opened our joint account.
7. Joint Tax returns for 2008 and 2009.
8. Phone Bills.
9. Copies of Christmas cards.
10. Our wedding album.
I also have these questions:
1. Do we need to have a lawyer present at the interview? Our lawyer said if needed, he can arrange for someone from his office to represent him.
2. We are expecting our first baby in July 2011. Do I need to take any hospital records? ultra sound results?
3. any other documents I need to take apart from the 10 I listed above?
Thank you for all your help!
