I-130 Stepchildren

Hi, there!

I am wondering if anyone can give information on this.

My husband is a US citizen and filed for I-130 for my 2 kids last May 2010.
The latest reply from Immig Office we received was that my husband's schedule for interview. The interview is set this month. We have all the documents required to bring on the interview.

My husband called an Immig Lawyer, and he said he never heard of a case that the petitioner is set for interview.

I just got my GC last Dec 2010. My husband was the one who sponsored me too. I am wondering if this got anything to do with his petition for my kids?

Just follow the instructions from USCIS.

If they called for an interview, go for an interview.

An update. We went to the interview which was set for 1.50 hrs. Though it only lasted for 15- 20 mins. The Immigration Officer verified the data on the I-130. Ask a few questions about the kids and us, as husband and wife. Then he told us that he will mail the approval. And the following we received the approval letter.

So now we are waiting for the US embassy to contact my kids abroad.
