Hello,

Recently my father got citizenship and he was applied GC for me. By that time im in USA on F2 visa. I got my GC acknowledgement letter and reciept number too. Without continuing that F1/F2 visa , can i stay here? If i stay here is that going to be illegal. Please suggest me.

When your priority date is current, you can file for I-485 (Adjustment of Status). After that, you can stay in the U.S. legally. Until then, you can stay only if you can maintain your status independently.
