Hi all,
I am applying AOS for my mother. She's here with B1/B2 visa. At the same time, I would like to apply Advanced Parole Document for her. I need to write a letter to warrant the issue of the document. Indeed, she is not planning to leave US during the application. However, we would like to apply for it just in case anything urgent will happen.
What reasons should I put? If I say she needs to go back to home country several times to take care of her assets and reunite with family members (as she has been here for 4 months), does that make sense?
Another question is if the document is approved, does its validity only correspond to the length you applied for? (e.g. if in the form we claim we will go back in May for 3 weeks, would they only issue a document valid for 3 weeks in May? Or they will issue something valid for half years or longer?)
