I-130 and AOS Package Query

hi all, i have a GC and filed form I-130 with I-485 for my husband on F-1 visa in US (doing Ph.D). my package was returned stating that due to no availability of visa number i should file I-130 alone which i did.

just wanted to know that do i wait for its approval which would take may be 1-2 years seeing the priority dates in visa bulletin, or can i file AOS package again so that he could get an EAD if I-130 gets approved.

do let me know if i missed any part of information i could give to get an answer.

You can file I-485 only when the priority date is current.
