  • Removal of Condition : I-751

    Hi,

My wife had filed for my greencard 2 yrs back when we used to live in California. My greencard got approved and I am conditional permanent resident since last 21 months. Now I guess it is time to apply for removal of condition.

I think I have to apply I-751 and supporting documents. I had couple of questions :
    1) Is it necessary to apply atleast 90days in advance or between 90-0 days of your conditional GC expiration?
    2) We moved to Texas last year. Since we were in CA when we first applied, we applied to CHICAGO Processing Center. I-751 says that since we live in texas we have to apply at Texas Procession Center. Should I apply to TX center or CA center?

Also any particular things to keep in mind for the entire application package or Texas Processing Center.

    Appreciate your help in advance.

    Thanks.

    1. Either way.
    2. You will have to apply according to where you live now.

I have one question. On your link it says there is no biometric fee, whereas the USCIS Website says :
      Filing Fee :
$505. (Add $85 biometric fee for a total of $590, where applicable. See the form instructions for payment details.)
      Special Instructions :

Note on Filing Fee: Please include the base petition fee plus $85 biometric services fee for all conditional resident applicants. Each conditional resident child listed under Part 5 of this form who is a dependent seeking to remove their conditional status, is required to submit an additional biometric services fee of $85, regardless of age.
