GC thru sibling while on F1

I am 28 old female, currently on F1 which expires on Dec 2011.
My sister just got her citizenship.
Can she sponsor my GC?
I did look at the processing time and the last application processed is from April 2007.
How long will it take for her to sponsor my GC? in the mean time can I reside in the US?

Yes, she can sponsor it. It will take around 12 years. Until then, you will have to maintain status on your own and not based on your pending green card application.
