Change of Address processing I485

Hi All,
I am processing GC for my mother while she is in USA. I have approved 130 and I 485 is getting processed. So far there were 2 ref's for I 485 on the birth Certificate. Initally I send affidivate of Birth,later I sent Non Availability certificate.

So I would like to know what will be next steps. Also would like to know, Can I apply for change of address to outside USA while I 485 is getting processed?

You need to wait to get it approved.

The person can't really move back outside USA while I-485 is pending. The person can certainly travel temporarily outside the U.S. with advance parole, but need to be really staying in the U.S. most of the time.

485 Initial Interview for my mom

Hi,
Today I got the "Request for Applicant to Appear for Initial Interview" towards her application of I 485.

As per the check list, I provided most of the documents.

I think I should be carrying my mom's passport, this notice, her I94, my US passport, copy of affidavate of my grand parents of my mom, copy of Non-availability birth certificate.

Other than that should I carry any other document.

Besides this can anyone help me interpret why this Initial interview is called for? Do they have still some more clarifications or it is just a formality to complete the processing.

Please help me clarify.
