Problems for 19 year old son for getting Student Visa

I am a 45 year old person. My brother is a U.S. Citizen. He wants to sponsor me for Green Card. I am well settled in India. However, I want to help my son who is currently 19 years old (studying in India) to get a Green Card some time in the future. My son has traveled to the U.S. on Visitor's Visa once and come back to India.
My questions are as follows:
(1) Suppose, my brother sponsors me and I get in the queue, will it adversely affect my son's chances getting a student's visa for his higher education in 2014?
(2) Assuming a 10 year process for siblings, I may get a Green Card after 10 years when my son will be 29 years old. Is it possible for him to get a Green Card at the same time as me?
(3) If the answer to question (2) is NO; then I may sponsor him after becoming a Citizen which may be another 5 years. My son would be 34 years of age when I sponsor him. My son therefore would get his Green Card at his age of 44. Is my understanding correct?
(4) If I die anytime before becoming a Citizen, will my son ever will be able to claim lineage and therefore be in the Green Card process queue?

If this is purely for getting a greencard for your son, best would be for him to come here on student visa (F1), complete his study, graduate and find a job here and transfer to H1 visa. Once he is employed, his employer can sponsor him which will be faster than the route you described.

Thanks a lot for this practical advice. However, please pardon me while I request answers to a few more questions that arise as a corollary to your reply.

(1) Is there any merit in parallel processing? i.e. I get in the family based immigration queue now while my son applies for student visa in 2014. If my son gets a job after pursuing his post graduation in 2016, then he tries his luck through his employer for getting his Green Card processed. If he does not get a job, at least he has a fall back option through my family based application.

(2) Are there any risks in following these parallel routes? i.e. will my son face difficulties in getting student visa in 2014 if I am in the family based immigration queue?

(3) Are the time lines and Age assumptions in my earlier question realistic?

Yes, he can have a fallback option.

YOUR immigrant visa application won't be a hindrance to his student visa application. It will be a problem only if HE has a pending immigrant visa application.
