Married to Unemployed U.S. Citizen and Getting GC

I'm a F1 visa holder (visa will expire on May 24) and going to get a marriage based green card.

My husband (U.S. citizen) is currently unemployed and getting cash and food assistance from DSHS, and my mother-in-law will be a joint sponsor. Is this situation a problem to get a green card? I'm worried about paying expensive application fee.
