  • Green card filing/petition by brother.

I am at a bit of crossroads here, I signed up with a green card company however I was not chosen to be a winner this time around, and it really was dissapointing. I would like to know is there any way that due to my brother's prominent position in the U.S. as an army troop can I somehow use his position as well as with him acting as a sponsor or petitioner for me, can this somehow give me a more direct head start for next time around, or can I even somehow allow my profile at the company I signed up with, if permitted can it be somehow used to get me a secured entry to be able to receive my green card soon. I have waited & tarried with this process for about 2 years now, someone please help with any information in regards to this. Thank you.

If your brother is a US citizen (note: there are in US armed forces non-citizen troops), then he can indeed sponsor you as a sibling (F4)--but this I call "Methuselah plan" as it generally takes way too long (and cutoff-dates for it don't progress very much).

    There are other alternatives:
    • Marry a US citizen
    • Marry a person who is in labour-cert stage, pre I-140 (or even with approved I-140 who has not filed final-stage) on which you can get a derivative Green Card
    • find a US Employer, and ask to sponsor for Green Card
