PCC from passport office required???

Hi everyone, i got my PCC from Police Authorities, hyderabad. But i am not sure if i need PCC from passport office as well. There is no mention of a pcc from passport office on the travelstate website. It is only on immihelp, that it mentions any such thing. I wanted to know what is the latest rule regarding this. Thanks for any feedback...

when is ur passport issued,if it is issued 6 month prior to applying visa then u will need pcc from both that is district admin as well as passpot office,check

it was issued 3 years ago, so i guess i have to get it from passport office too. Thanks for the reply though
