Work eligibility for Family based green card holders

Hi,
I have sponsored green card for my mother (I-485). Once the green card comes, is she eligible at all to work part time with that green card alone?
If not, and if she wants to consider part time employment, what paperwork she has to submit and how long the process typically is.

Of course. A greencard holder is a legal permanent resident and is therefore allowed to legally live & work in the US (part-time or full-time).
